Servicing diesel direct injection system
Safety precautions
To avoid injury to persons and/or destruction of the glow plug and injection system, always observe the following:

◆ Always switch off ignition before disconnecting and connecting cables of glow plug and injection system - including tester cables.

◆ If the engine is to be run at cranking speed without starting, e.g. when testing compression, detach fuel cut-off valve N109 connector at injection pump and 8-pin plug for quantity adjuster.

◆ Where radios with anti-theft coding are fitted, establish coding before disconnecting battery.

◆ Always switch off ignition before disconnecting and connecting battery, as otherwise the diesel direct injection system control unit could be damaged.
