Sender unit

Tank full

Tank empty

Fuel gauge sender -G

40 ω

280 ω

According to the amount of fuel in the tank, the resistance should be somewhere between the specified values for "tank full" and "tank empty".

  • ‒ If the resistance is 0 ωor ∞ ω, this means there is a short circuit or an open circuit in the wiring in the tank.

Note:

In order to test the maximum and minimum values for "tank full" and "tank empty", remove the fuel gauge sender -G and move the float all the way to its top or bottom position.
