→ Fig.1    Inserting assembly device in link

  • Take care not to damage surface of brake pipes.
  • ‒ Insert assembly device -3292- such that radii of both special tool jaws are positioned between bush and eye of link.
  • ‒ Screw in threaded stem as far as it will go such that bonded rubber bush is pressed slightly off eye of link.

→ Fig.2    Inserting thrust pad in link and pressing bonded rubber bush out of link

  • ‒ Use hexagon bolts -a- (M10 x 80) to attach cross piece -3292/2- to assembly device -3292-.
  • ‒ Align cross piece with thrust pad -3292/4-.
  • ‒ Screw spindle into cross piece until bonded rubber bush is pressed out.

Note:

Take care to ensure exact positioning of drift sleeve -41-501-.

  • ‒ Position bonded rubber bush at right angles on link.
  • ‒ Use hexagon bolt to screw on thrust pads -3288/2- and -3350/2- as shown and insert bush as far as it will go in eye of link.
