Note:

On account of different wheel alignment platforms, it may be necessary to raise front axle of vehicle for insertion of spacer gauge -V.A.G 1925-. Bounce vehicle after lowering it.

  • ‒ → Insert spacer gauge -V.A.G 1925- with adapters - V.A.G 1925/3 or V.A.G 1925/4- and screw out the two threaded stems
  • ‒ . . . until they just make contact with the front bolts -arrow- of the subframe.
  • This must not cause the vehicle to be raised.

Vehicle is now in initial position.

Vehicle with sports running gear 1BD, 1BE, 1BQ, 1BV, RS4

  • ‒ → Position axle lift at front jacking points and raise vehicle.
  • ‒ Position adapter - V.A.G 1925/6- on adapter - V.A.G 1925/3 or V.A.G 1925/4- of spacer gauge.
  • ‒ Lower vehicle onto adapters -arrow-.

Vehicle is now in initial position.

All running gear versions

In this position, program in wheel alignment computer checks whether toe-in value for each wheel is as specified. If necessary, toe-in is to be corrected by altering length of track rod.

If correction is necessary, this is indicated by wheel alignment program.
