Removing and installing head restraint guides - vehicles up to 10.2004

Removing
–  Press and hold release button -2- in direction of -arrow A- and pull head restraint -1- out upwards as far as possible -arrow B-.

–  Press in release button -2- on head restraint -1- as far as it will go -arrow-.
–  Keep pressing the release button in and push the head restraint down as far as possible on the posts.
–  Take the head restraint out of the head restraint guides.

For greater clarity, head restraint guide -1- has been removed in illustration.
–  Insert upholstery needle or screwdriver -3- with maximum width of 2 mm into hole -4- (opposite retaining clip for head restraint guide).
–  While levering screwdriver -3- in direction of arrow -A- and pressing retaining tab -2- in direction of arrow -B-, pull out head restraint guide -1-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
