Information on convenience data bus system and operating status of convenience data bus system
  Note
t  If zones “1” to “4” display “0”, indicating that no information is being received, switch on ignition if applicable or actuate auxiliary heating/auxiliary ventilation, e.g. by way of a setting in the control unit in dash panel insert -J285- (via driver information system) or using the remote control.
t  The display in all zones must be “1” with the ignition switched on.

1Information from control unit in dash panel insert -J285-
t  Display = Dash 0
–  Messages from control unit in dash panel insert -J285- not being received
t  Display = Dash 1
–  Messages from control unit in dash panel insert -J285- being received
l  Data are transmitted by way of the convenience data bus system
l  If “0” is displayed with the ignition switched on, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus system → Chapter
2Information from convenience system central control unit -J393-
t  Display = Central 0
–  Messages from convenience system central control unit -J393- not being received
t  Display = Central 1
–  Messages from convenience system central control unit -J393- being received
l  Data are transmitted by way of convenience data bus system
l  If “0” is displayed with the ignition switched on, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus system → Chapter

l  If “0” is displayed with the ignition switched on, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus system → Chapter
4Steering column electronics control unit -J527-
t  Display = Steering wheel 0
–  Messages from steering wheel electronics control unit -J527- not being received
t  Display = Steering wheel 1
–  Messages from steering wheel electronics control unit -J527- being received
l  Data are transmitted by way of the convenience data bus system
l  If “0” is displayed with the ignition switched on, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus system → Chapter
