1 - Circlip
2 - Support plate
3 - Reverse gear wheel
q   Different versions; allocation → Fig.
4 - Needle bearing
5 - Thrust washer
6 - Gearbox cover
q   Aluminium version: must only be fitted to an aluminium gearbox housing
q   Magnesium version: must only be fitted to a magnesium gearbox housing
q   Note identification markings → Fig.
q   Can be renewed with gearbox in vehicle → Chapter
q   With reverse gear shaft -arrow-
q   To remove the reverse gear wheel it is not necessary to remove the reverse gear shaft.
q   The reverse gear shaft is not available as a replacement part.
q   Coat sealing surfaces lightly with sealing paste -AMV 188 001 02-
7 - TORX bolt
q   Serves as an additional method of securing the reverse gear shaft
q   Bolt is made of different materials for aluminium and magnesium gearboxes.
q   For correct version, refer to → Electronic parts catalogue
q   Tighten to 35 Nm on aluminium gearboxes
q   Tighten to 25 Nm on magnesium gearboxes
