Simos injection and ignition system (4-cyl.) > < Removing and installing combination valve for secondary air system

Removing and installing secondary air pump motor -V101-
   
Removing
–  If fitted, detach cover -1- on right of engine compartment.
  A10-1030
–  Disengage solenoid valve 1 for activated charcoal filter system -N80--item 1- at air duct.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove air duct -2-.
  A10-0900
–  Unplug electrical connector -4- at air mass meter -G70-.
–  Move electrical wiring at air cleaner housing clear.
–  Pull off air hose -1- to secondary air pump.
–  Detach air intake hose -3- at air mass meter -G70-.
–  Remove fastener -2- and detach air cleaner housing.
–  Unscrew the two bolts (accessible from above) from bracket for secondary air pump.

–  On vehicles with auxiliary/additional heater, remove bolts -arrows- securing exhaust pipe for auxiliary/additional heater to noise insulation.
  A10-0407
–  Release quick-fasteners -1- and -2- and take off front noise insulation.
  A10-1320
–  Unplug electrical connector -3-.
–  Detach air hoses -1- and -2-.
–  Unscrew the bolts (accessible from below) from bracket for secondary air pump.
–  Detach secondary air pump motor -V101- with bracket.
–  If necessary, detach secondary air pump motor -V101- from bracket.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
