Removing and installing coolant pipe (top) Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Spring type clip pliers -VAS 5024 A-

Removing –  Drain off coolant → Chapter. –  Unclip cover caps. –  Unscrew nuts -arrows- and detach engine cover panel. Also pull out dipstick if necessary. –  Remove insulation beneath cover panel (if fitted).

–  Unplug electrical connector -2-. –  Loosen bolt -3-.   Note Disregard -item 1-. –  Pull fuel filter upwards out of bracket and lay it aside with fuel hoses connected.

–  Unbolt bracket for fuel filter -arrows-.

–  Detach the coolant hoses at the top coolant pipe. –  Unscrew nut -arrow-. –  Detach coolant pipe -1-. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Electronic parts catalogue. –  Fill cooling system → Anchor. Tightening torques
