Removing and installing temperature sender before particulate filter -G506-

Removing   Note All cable ties which are released or cut open when removing must be fitted in the same position when installing. –  Unclip cover caps. –  Unscrew nuts -arrows- and detach engine cover panel. Also pull out dipstick if necessary. –  Remove insulation beneath cover panel (if fitted).

–  Remove bolts -arrows-. –  Remove air ducts -1- and -2-.

–  Unplug electrical connector -1- at air mass meter -G70-. –  Loosen hose clip -2- to remove air intake hose. –  Move clear wiring harness at air cleaner housing and remove air cleaner housing -arrow-.

–  Take electrical connector -2- for temperature sender before particulate filter -G506- out of bracket. –  Unplug electrical connector and move wiring clear.   Note Disregard -item 1-.

–  Vehicles with auxiliary heater: remove bolts -arrows- securing exhaust pipe for auxiliary/additional heater to noise insulation.

–  Release quick-fasteners -1- and -2- and take off front noise insulation. Leave rear noise insulation in position.

–  Remove temperature sender before particulate filter -G506--item 2- from particulate filter.   Note Disregard -item 1-. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:   Note Fit all cable ties in the original positions when installing.

–  When installing, make sure that temperature sender before particulate filter -G506- is positioned parallel to flange area of particulate filter. l  Dimension -x- = dimension -x-. –  Route electrical wiring as shown in illustration. l  Use retaining clips -1- and -2- to secure to pressure hose. l  Use cable ties -3- to secure to pipe for alternator wiring harness. Tightening torque
