1 - Intake manifold
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
2 - O-rings for injectors
q   Renew
3 - 10 Nm
4 - Fuel hose
q   USA vehicles: loosening and tightening union nut → Fig.
5 - Fuel rail
6 - Pressure control valve
q   For crankcase breather
7 - 10 Nm
q   Tighten in stages and in diagonal sequence
8 - Lifting eye
9 - 23 Nm
10 - Gasket
q   For intake manifold
q   Renew
11 - Locking pin, 0.6 Nm

   
USA vehicles: loosening and tightening union nut for fuel hose
  Caution
Rules for cleanliness when working on the injection system → Chapter.
  WARNING
The fuel system is pressurised. Before opening the system place a clean cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
Loosening:
–  Unscrew fuel hose from connection at fuel rail pipe. To do so, counterhold on hexagon flats -1- and -3- with open-end spanners and loosen union nut -2-.
Tightening:
–  Secure fuel hose at connection for fuel rail pipe. To do so, counterhold at hexagon flats -1- and -3- with open-end spanners and tighten union nut -2-: tightening torque 22 Nm.
