Removing and installing satellite radioR146 (Avant) up to MY 04

Removing and installing satellite radio -R146- (Avant) up to MY 04

–	When renewing control unit, select “Replacement” function for appropriate control unit in “Guided Fault Finding”.

To do so, use the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-.

–	Switch off all electrical equipment.

–	Remove ignition key.

Removing

–	Remove base retainer → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.

Adapter plate -2- with satellite radio -R146--1- is inserted and engaged on reverse side of base retainer (top) -3-.

–	Unplug connectors on satellite radio -R146--1-.

You do not have to remove the adapter plate.

–	Push the two tabs on adapter plate -2- upwards in direction of the arrows and detach satellite radio -R146--1- from adapter plate -2-.

Installing

–	Installation is performed in reverse sequence.

–	Enable the satellite radio -R146- → Chapter.
