Removing and installing impact bar - vehicles with towing bracket

Removing

–	Remove bumper cover (rear) → Chapter.

–	Remove socket for towing bracket → Rep. gr.96.

–	Move clear binding clip -1- for electrical wire.

Note

Use soap solution to aid removal if necessary.

–	If fitted, unplug electrical connector at radio controlled clock receiver -J489--item 2-.

Note

If impact bar -3- is renewed, radio controlled clock receiver -J489- must be removed → Rep. gr.90.

–	Remove fastening rings → Rep. gr.70.

–	Detach luggage compartment side trim (left and right) at rear → Rep. gr.70.

–	Unscrew bolts -arrows- and detach impact bar -3-.

Installing

l	Tightening torque → Chapter

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

–	Install luggage compartment side trim (left and right) → Rep. gr.70.

–	Install fastening rings → Rep. gr.70.

–	Install socket for towing bracket → Rep. gr.96.

–	Install bumper cover (rear) → Chapter.
