Removing and installing backrest cover panel
  Note
t  Removal and installation is possible with seat installed.
t  Removal and installation are described for the standard seat (front). The procedures are similar for the other seat versions.
t  The description relates to the equipment version with the backrest cover panel without luggage net.
t  The luggage net cannot be separated from the backrest cover panel and can only be renewed together with the backrest cover panel.
   
Removing
  WARNING
Wear protective gloves to avoid possible injury from burr at the backrest cover panel.
–  Disengage bottom hooks on side -3- (2x) of backrest cover panel -2- from trim for backrest frame -1-.

–  To do so, press backrest cover panel -1- in direction of -arrow A- towards centre of seat.
–  Then pull backrest cover panel in direction of -arrow B- towards rear.
–  Do the same on the opposite side.

–  Disengage backrest cover panel -2- at side -arrows A, B, E, F-.

–  To do so, reach behind the backrest cover panel -1- and pull it off the backrest -2- sideways to the right.
–  Do the same with backrest cover panel -1- on opposite side.
–  In doing so release retaining hooks -3- or -5- → Fig..

–  Pull off backrest cover panel -1- further and bend it until top hooks -2- have disengaged from backrest frame.
  Note
For greater clarity, the top hooks are not shown in the illustration.
–  Tilt backrest cover panel -1- backwards slightly.

–  Press backrest cover panel -1- at bottom in direction of -arrow A-.
–  Raise backrest cover panel in direction of -arrow B- and pull off backrest frame.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  First push top hooks -2- under top cross plate of backrest frame.
–  Swivel backrest cover panel down and lock side retaining tabs -3- and -5- and bottom hooks -4-.
–  Make sure retaining tabs on side -3- and -5- lock properly with trim for backrest frame and hooks -4- are pushed correctly over shoes of trim for backrest frame (bottom).

–  Press backrest cover panel forcefully towards backrest in areas marked by circles.
–  Check whether backrest cover panel is properly engaged.
l  It should not be possible to pull backrest cover panel (bottom) off.
