Removing and installing head restraint with slide-in locking mechanism

  Note
t  The head restraints can be removed with the front seats in position.
t  The pressure point for release (release button) is located on the outer left of the driver's seat and on the inner left of the front passenger's seat (as seen in direction of travel).
   
Removing
–  Locate pressure point of release button -3- (located beneath backrest cover).
–  Press release button forwards in direction of -arrow-.
–  Keep release button pressed in this position.
–  Lift head restraint -2- out of head restraint guides -1- and -4-.
  Note
If the release button cannot be released in the way described, the backrest cover panel must be removed; two-piece backrest cover panel → Chapter; one-piece backrest cover panel → Chapter. Reach underneath backrest cover and locate pressure point of release button.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Make sure head restraint is properly engaged in head restraint guides.
