Removing and installing backrest heating element (standard seat)
Removing and installing backrest heating element (standard seat)
   
Removing
–  Remove backrest cover and padding → Chapter.
–  Detach cover from padding → Chapter.
–  Cut off wire -3- directly at old backrest heating element -2-.
  Note
t  Leave old backrest heating element on padding -1- and cover it with new backrest heating element.
t  -Items A, B, C- and -arrow- can be disregarded.
Installing
–  Align new backrest heating element on padding.
  Caution
t  Take care to attach new backrest heating element in such a way that it covers old seat heating element exactly.
t  Detach protective foil from areas of heating element in bonding sequence.
t  When detaching protective foil, take care not to damage heating element and avoid creases when bonding.

–  Bond individual areas of heating element in the sequence -A, B, C-.
–  Route wiring leading to individual heating zones in bottom of openings -arrow-.
–  Pull wire -3- through slit in padding -1-.
Perform remaining installation in reverse order of removal.
