t  This illustration shows the air conditioning unit for the „Deluxe“ type.Various outlet openings are not provided with the „Basic“ version.
t  Actuation of the various flaps in the vents and the temperature flaps differs between the „Basic“ and „Deluxe“ versions.
t  Air conditioning units with an additional connection for glove compartment cooling are being gradually introduced as of 01.2008. This connection is sealed with a plug on vehicles not featuring glove compartment cooling → Chapter.
   
1 - Air conditioning unit
q   Different versions depending on air conditioner model („Deluxe“ and „Basic“) → Chapter (dismantling and assembling air conditioning unit) and → Electronic parts catalogue
q   Removing and installing air conditioning unit → Chapter
2 - Air intake box
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
3 - Air outlet to left indirect ventilation vent
q   Only fitted on vehicles with an air conditioner of „Deluxe“ type (not provided with „Basic“ version).
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the left and right side depending on the setting → Chapter.
4 - Air outlet to right indirect ventilation vent
q   Only fitted on vehicles with an air conditioner of „Deluxe“ type (not provided with „Basic“ version).
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the left and right side depending on the setting → Chapter.
5 - Air outlet to dash panel defroster vent
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the left and right side depending on the setting → Chapter.
6 - Fresh air intake
q   The air is drawn in from the plenum chamber → Chapter.
7 - Fresh air blower -V2-
8 - Intake for air from passenger compartment (in air recirculation mode)
q   The air is drawn in under the glove compartment from the passenger's footwell.
9 - Air outlet to right dash panel vent
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, the flaps in the vents to the left and right dash panel vents are inter-linked via a connecting rod → Chapter.
10 - Air outlet to front right footwell vent
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, the flaps in the vents to the front left and right footwell are inter-linked via a connecting rod → Chapter.
11 - Air outlet to centre right dash panel vent
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the left and right side with the „Deluxe“ version depending on the setting → Chapter.
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, a joint vent is provided for the left and right side and there is only one flap fitted → Chapter.
12 - Air outlet to centre left dash panel vent
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the left and right side with the „Deluxe“ version depending on the setting → Chapter.
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, a joint vent is provided for the left and right side and there is only one flap fitted → Chapter.
13 - Air outlet to rear right footwell vent
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, the flaps in the vents to the rear left and right footwell are inter-linked via the shaft → Chapter.
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the front and rear with the „Deluxe“ version depending on the setting → Chapter.
14 - Air outlet to vent in rear right centre console
q   Only fitted on vehicles with an air conditioner of „Deluxe“ type (not provided with „Basic“ version).
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the front and rear depending on the setting → Chapter.
15 - Air outlet to vent in rear left centre console
q   Only fitted on vehicles with an air conditioner of „Deluxe“ type (not provided with „Basic“ version).
q   Different air temperatures are possible for the front and rear depending on the setting → Chapter.
16 - Air outlet to rear left footwell vent
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, the flaps in the vents to the rear left and right footwell are inter-linked via the shaft → Chapter.

17 - Air outlet to front left footwell vent
q   On the „Basic“ version of the air conditioner, the flaps in the vents to the front left and right footwell are inter-linked via a connecting rod → Chapter.
18 - Air outlet to left dash panel vent
