Removing and installing front left chest vent temperature sensorG385
Removing and installing front left chest vent temperature sensor -G385-
  Note
The front left chest vent temperature sensor -G385- is only fitted on vehicles with an air conditioner of the „Deluxe“ type.
Removing
–  Switch off the ignition.
–  Remove the storage compartment beneath the dash panel on the driver side. → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70
   
–  Unplug the connector -A- from the temperature sensor.
–  Give the front left chest vent temperature sensor -G385--B- a 90° turn and pull it out of the mount in the air duct -D-.
Installing
Install in reverse order; paying attention to the following:
–  Check the seal -C- for damage and proper attachment.
–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Interrogate the event recorder of the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase any faults displayed → "Guided fault-finding" function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
