Removing and installing front right chest vent temperature sensorG386
Removing and installing front right chest vent temperature sensor -G386-
  Note
The front right chest vent temperature sensor -G386- is only fitted on vehicles with an air conditioner of the „Deluxe“ type.
Removing
–  Switch off the ignition.
–  Remove the glove compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
   
–  Unplug the connector -A- from the temperature sensor.
–  Give the front right chest vent temperature sensor -G386--B- an approx. 90° turn and pull it out of the mount in the air duct -D-.
Installing
Install in reverse order; paying attention to the following:
–  Check the seal -C- for damage and proper attachment.
–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Interrogate the event recorder of the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase any faults displayed → "Guided fault-finding" function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
