Detaching pulley
  Note

t  If (after removing the circlip) the pulley -A- cannot be detached by hand from the flange of the air conditioner compressor (e.g. on account of dirt), detach it carefully as described below.
t  If the pulley -A- is to be re-used, the arms of the puller must be applied such that the outside of the pulley is not squashed.
–  Carefully detach the pulley -A- using a puller (with 3 arms) -B-.
  Note
t  Do not rest the spindle of the puller -B- on the air conditioner compressor shaft when detaching the pulley -A-.
t  To provide support for the spindle of the puller -B- at the flange of the air conditioner compressor, make use of a sleeve -C- (e.g. the sleeve V.A.G 1719/1 from the Puller for magnetic clutch -V.A.G 1719-).
t  After detaching the pulley -A-, thoroughly clean the flange of the air conditioner compressor. It must be possible to fit the pulley -A- by hand.
