Test sequence

Piston projection at TDC must be measured when installing new pistons or a short engine. Depending upon piston projection, install the corresponding cylinder head gasket according to following table:
  Note
t  Turn engine in clockwise direction to measure piston projection at TDC.
t  If differing figures are obtained when measuring piston projection, the highest figure should be taken when selecting the gasket.
