t  Universal dial gauge bracket -VW 387-
  W00-0037
t  Dial gauge -VAS 6079-
  W00-1261
Procedure
–  Secure dial gauge -VAS 6079- with universal dial gauge bracket -VW 387- to cylinder block as shown in illustration.
–  Apply dial gauge to crank web.
–  Press crankshaft against dial gauge by hand and set gauge to „0“.
–  Push crankshaft away from dial gauge and read off value.
Axial clearance:
l  New: 0.90 ... 0.251 mm.
