Removing and installing Hall senders
Removing and installing Hall senders
Fitting locations of the four Hall senders: refer to Fitting locations - overview → Chapter.
Removing
–  Unplug electrical connector from corresponding Hall sender.
–  To remove Hall sender 3 -G300- on cylinder bank 1 you must first remove air cleaner (bottom section). Removing air cleaner (bottom section) → Chapter
   
–  To remove Hall sender 4 -G301- on cylinder bank 2 you must first remove the coolant expansion tank.
–  Unplug electrical connector for coolant shortage indicator switch -F66- at bottom of expansion tank and move expansion tank to one side with coolant hoses -1-, -2- and -3- attached.
Installing
–  Renew O-ring and lubricate with clean engine oil.
–  Carefully press in Hall sender by hand.
–  Secure Hall sender and plug back connector.
–  The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse sequence.
t  Tightening torque: refer to exploded view of ignition system → Chapter.
