Removing and installing humidity sender -G355- - vehicles with main beam assist

Removing Vehicles with lane departure warning: –  Unclip cover -1- (top) at mirror base -arrows-. –  Use a screwdriver to disengage cover (bottom) at mirror base and detach.

Vehicles without lane departure warning: –  Pry open cover -1- (top) at interior mirror base -arrows-.

All vehicles (continued): –  Remove the electrical connector from its retainer. –  Unplug electrical connector -2-. –  Turn interior mirror at mirror base -1- anti-clockwise -arrow- as far as the stop. –  Remove interior mirror from the retaining plate.

–  Release retaining tabs -1- and -2- with a screwdriver -3-. –  Disengage cover -4- (rear).

–  Release retaining tabs -arrows- and carefully fold cover -2- (top) slightly upwards. –  Disengage retaining tab -1- at cover -3- (front). –  Detach cover (top).

–  Disengage retaining hooks in direction of -arrows- and pull cover -2- (front) out of guide webs at interior mirror base -1- downwards.

–  Release retaining clips -2--arrows- and detach humidity sender -G355--item 4- from interior mirror base -1-. –  Unplug electrical connector -3-. Installing l  Tightening torque → Chapter Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: –  Install interior mirror → Rep. gr.68.
