Coupling Rod

‹› The coupling rod must be removed together with the stabilizer bar. 

‹› Removing and installing. Refer to => [ Coupling Rod with Stabilizer Bar ] See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Stabilizer Bar/Service

and Repair/Rear Suspension

Nut

‹› Always replace after removal.

Stabilizer

‹› Stabilizer must be removed together with coupling rod.

‹› Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coupling Rod with Stabilizer Bar ] See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Stabilizer Bar/Service and

Repair/Rear Suspension

‹› The rubber bushing and clamp must not be separated from the stabilizer bar.

Bolt, 70 Nm +180°

‹› Always replace after removal.

‹› Must be tightened in the curb weight position. Refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, with Coil Spring, Lifting to Curb Weight Position ] See:

Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Procedures/Rear Suspension.

‹› Always replace after removal.

Upper control arm

Bolt, 115 Nm +90°

‹› Always replace after removal.

‹› The bolts must not be loosened or tightened when the springs are installed. Release the coil springs using the spring tensioner before loosening

or tightening.

Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76)

‹› Only sensors of the same version may be installed.

‹› Complete with components.

‹› The sensor lever must point toward outside.

‹› Replace in vehicle. Refer to => [ Level Control System Sensor ] See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Steering and

Suspension/Sensors and Switches - Suspension/Suspension Control Pressure Sensor/Switch/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension. 

‹› After loosening, check basic setting of headlamp adjustment.Refer to => [ Headlamps, Adjusting ] See: Lighting and

Horns/Headlamp/Adjustments

‹› If the vehicle level sensor was removed and installed on a vehicle with electronically controlled damping or if the linkage was loosened, the

control position must be reprogrammed. Refer to => [ Control Position, Programing with VAS 5051B ] See: Steering and
Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Control ( Automatic - Electronic )/Testing and Inspection..
