Mount steering column onto center tube and install bolts.
‹› Note that the bolts have different lengths.

Tighten bolts - 1 and 2 - diagonally to 20 Nm.
‹› Install bolts - 1 and 2 - with a pawl with a 3/8 inch drive and socket and extension.

Tighten bolts to 20 Nm with torque wrench (V.A.G 1331) and spring compressor (V.A.S 5122) with extension.

Mount upper trim gap cover for steering column switch module (SMLS).

Install cable guides on steering column.

Tighten bolt on steering shaft - 2 - to 20 Nm.
