Outer CV Joint, 88 mm or 100 mm, Replacing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› CV joint boot clamp tool (3340)

‹› Circlip pliers (commercially-available)

‹› Sealant.

Outer CV Joint, 88 mm or 100 mm, Removing

Secure drive axle with protective covers in vise clamp.

-

Open the clamp using (3340).

Insert the (3340) at the front of the clamp, as shown in the illustration.

-

Slide back protective boot.

-

Strike a copper or brass drift - A - on CV joint inner race with a hammer.

-

Remove joint and protective joint boot.

-

Remove the circlip.
