Secure container of VAG 1924 ATF filler tool as high up on vehicle as possible.

Remove noise insulation panel (arrows).
Connect VAS 5051 tester
All functions previously performed with the VAG 1551 can also be performed using the new VAS 5051 tester in operating mode Vehicle On Board
Diagnostic (OBD):
go to Operating instructions for the VAS 5051 vehicle tester.
Checking ATF temperature

Connect VAS 5051 tester to Data Link Connector (DLC) using VAS 5051/1 diagnostic cable with ignition switched off.
