Disengage hook - 2 - and remove noise insulation cover.

-

Remove heat shield for the right drive axle.

-

Remove right drive axle.

-

Remove mounting bracket for flange shaft - arrows -. 

-

Place an oil drain pan underneath the transmission.

-

Pull out the right flange shaft together with mounting bracket. 

Installing

-

Clean flange shaft.

-

A damaged sealing ring must be replaced. Refer to => [ Right Flange Shaft Sealing Ring and Grooved Ball Bearing ] See: Continuously Variable
Transmission/Transaxle/Seals and Gaskets/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Final Drive, Differential (01J Transmission)/Right
Flange Shaft Sealing Ring and Grooved Ball Bearing.

Replace O-ring - arrow A - on mounting bracket for flange shaft.
