Remove heat shield under shift mechanism

For vehicles with noise insulation -A- under shift mechanism:

-

Remove lock washers -arrows-.

Note:

Always replace lock washers

Remove sound insulation -A- and slide forward.

All:

-

Remove selector lever cable retaining clip -1- sideways.

-

Remove selector lever cable -2- from shift mechanism.

Note:

^

Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.

Remove nuts -arrows-.

Note:

^

A second technician is required when detaching shift mechanism below vehicle.

-

Press holder clips -1- and -2- inward, at the same time pushing shift mechanism downward.
