Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-10890
Engine codes CAMA, CAMB, CAPA:
–  Detach electrical connector -2- from bracket and move clear to side.
  Note
Disregard -item 1-.
Engine codes CCLA, CCWA, CCWB, CGKA, CGKB:
–  Remove exhaust gas recirculation control motor -V338- → Chapter.
All vehicles (continued):
–  Remove oil filter element → Booklet811, → Booklet812 or → Booklet818.
  A26-10574
–  Remove bolts -arrows- for retaining clip.
  Note
Use magnetic fitting tool to remove bolts and retaining clip for oil filter housing.
  A17-10256
–  Tie two cable ties -2- and -3- into loops and secure them in upper groove on oil filter housing with a third cable tie -1-.
–  Lift off oil filter housing with cable ties -arrow-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Engine oil cooler, pressure control valve, oil filter housing and oil pressure switch - exploded view“
  Note
t  Fit new O-rings.
t  Use magnetic fitting tool to insert bolts securing retaining clip for oil filter housing.
Engine codes CCLA, CCWA, CCWB, CGKA, CGKB:
–  Install exhaust gas recirculation control motor -V338- → Chapter.
All vehicles (continued):
–  Change engine oil → Booklet811, → Booklet812 or → Booklet818.
