Front Information Display Control Head Control Module

The Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) is located behind the glove compartment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

Turn off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

-

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

-

Remove glove compartment. 

-

Disconnect connectors - 2 -, - 3 - and -  4 - on the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) - 1 -.

-

Fit the Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - on to the MOST-Bus connector -  2 -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows - (4 Nm) and remove Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) - 1 -.
