The ATF inspection plug must be screwed in again at the latest when ATF reaches a temperature of 45°C (countries with hot climates: 50°C).
If still no ATF emerges from ATF inspection opening when ATF has reached 45°C, top off with ATF.

Install new seal on ATF inspection plug and tighten to 80 Nm. The ATF check is now completed.

End function "08 - Read data block (measured value block)" by touching - key.

Press "06 - End output".

Switch off ignition and disconnect diagnostic connector.
Note:

If the vehicle has been raised on a lifting platform you must also de-activate the jacking mode.
Filling up ATF
If still no ATF emerges from ATF inspection opening when ATF has reached 40°C, top off with ATF.
Note:
The ATF inspection plug must be screwed in again at the latest when temperature reaches 45°C (hot climates: 50°C). If necessary, switch off engine,
allow gearbox to cool down and repeat the test.

Guide ATF charging device VAG 1924 filler nozzle in from below through an opening in the deflector cap - arrow -, taking care not to push
deflector cap upward out of position.

Fill with ATF using ATF charging device VAG 1924 until ATF comes out of inspection hole.
Note:

The ATF level must not be too low or too high, otherwise this would impair the function of the transmission.

Install new seal on ATF inspection plug and tighten to 80 Nm.

End function "08 - Read data block (measured value block)" by touching - key.

Press "06 - End output".

Switch off ignition and disconnect diagnostic connector.
