Remove hex nut - 3 -.

-

Remove hex bolt - 4 -.

-

Remove hex bolts - 1 -.

-

Pull stabilizer bar toward rear far enough until hex bolt - 2 - can be removed.

-

Remove coupling rod - 5 -.

-

Remove stabilizer.

If there is not sufficient room to remove stabilizer bar, these steps must be performed:
-

Support exhaust system at both rear mufflers using wooden block and engine/transmission jack VAG 1383 A.

-

Remove hex nuts - 1 - and lower exhaust system.

-

Remove stabilizer.
