ATF Cooling Lines, Removing and Installing

ATF cooling lines, removing and installing 09L, 6 Speed AWD A/T

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip tray for workshop hoist VAS 6208

^

Drip tray

^

Safety goggles

Note: 
^

Read the rules when working on the automatic transmission.

^

Thoroughly clean all joints and surrounding areas before disassembling.

Removing 

-

Mark position of all ATF cooling lines in relation to one another with different colors to avoid confusion.

-

Place drip tray for workshop hoist VAS 6208 underneath.

CAUTION!
Wear safety goggles.

-

Disconnect ATF cooling lines.

-

Seal opened cooling lines with clean sealing plugs.

Installing 

Installation is carried out in reverse sequence. Note:
-

Clean ATF cooling lines.

-

Lightly lubricate O-rings with ATF. 

-

First push ATF cooling lines fully into transmission or cooler as far as stop, then bolt on.

-

Check ATF level.
