Timing Belt: Diagrams

Removing and installing, refer to Camshaft Drive Belt, Removing & Installing   See: Service and Repair/Camshaft Drive Belt, Removal and
Installation

1 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
2 - Damper Adjusting, refer to Camshaft Drive Belt, Removing & Installing  See: Service and Repair/Camshaft Drive Belt, Removal and Installation
3 - Clamp level
4 - TDC pointer
5 - Bolt
6 - Bolt
7 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
8 - Screw and washer assembly 55 Nm (41 ft lb)
9 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
10 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
11 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
12 - 80 Nm (59 ft lb)
13 - 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
14 - Center bolt

Tightening torque  with special tool 2079: 350 Nm (258 ft lb)
Tightening torque w/o special tool 2079: 450 Nm (332 ft lb)
Use wrench 3197, refer to Camshaft Drive Belt, Removing & Installing  See: Service and Repair/Camshaft Drive Belt, Removal and Installation
When bolt has been loosened, always replace
Install with locking compound AMV 00102
Lightly oil threads and contact surfaces

15 - Flanged nut 10 Nm (89 in lb)
16 - 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
17 - Slide ring
18 - 10 Nm
19 - Tensioning roller
20 - 45 Nm (33 ft lb)

21 - Camshaft drive belt (timing belt)

Removing and installing with engine installed  See: Service and Repair/Camshaft Drive Belt, Removal and Installation

22 - Flanged nut 10 Nm (89 in lb)
