Upper B-pillar Trim, Removing And Installing

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions for working on side curtain airbags.

Upper B-pillar trim
Removing
-

Unclip lower B-pillar trim in area of upper B-pillar trim.

-

Remove nuts - 6 - (2x).

-

Remove upper B-pillar trim - 2 - downward.

-

Complete removal: Remove outer anchorage point and thread out belt - 7 -.

Installing

CAUTION:  Always adhere to installation sequence for upper B-pillar trim.

-

Complete removal: Install outer floor panel anchorage point and thread in belt - 7 -.

-

Engage upper B-pillar trim - 2 - at brackets - 1 - (2x).

-

Make sure retainer - 4 - engages in mount - 5 - at belt height adjuster.

-

Press on upper B-pillar trim - 2 -.

-

Install nuts - 6 - (2x).

CAUTION:  Make sure that trim is firmly seated.

-

Make sure rubber door seal is properly fitted over upper B-pillar trim.

-

Check operation of belt height adjuster.
