Wiring diagram
A Checking fuel injectors electrically:
-
Disconnect connector at the fuel injector to be tested.
-
Perform a resistance measurement between fuel injector terminals using a portable multimeter.
Specified value: 12 to 20 Ohms
If specified value is not obtained, replace respective fuel injector.
B Checking voltage supply of fuel injectors:
-
Disconnect connector at the fuel injector to be tested.
-
Connect V.A.G 1527 voltage test lamp between terminal 1 of connector and engine Ground (GND).
-
Switch ignition on:
Voltage test lamp must light up.
-
If voltage test lamp does not light up, check wire connection from terminal 1 via fuse for fuel injectors (fuse assignment in fuse holder in
instrument panel, right side) to Fuel Pump (FP) Relay -J17- for open circuit.
If voltage test lamp lights up, check activation of fuel injectors.
C Checking activation of fuel injectors:
-
Disconnect connector at the fuel injector to be tested.
