When installing, always heed the following sequence, otherwise proper function of energy management control module cannot be guaranteed.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the energy management control module.

2. Install energy management control module by installing and tightening ground stud - 3 -and nut - 2 -.

3. Connect ground (GND) wire to battery.

4. Connect connectors - 1 - on energy management control module.

5. Perform necessary steps after connecting battery. Refer to => [ To connect, connect terminal clamp of ground (GND) wire by hand to battery

negative terminal and tighten nut. ] See: Starting and Charging/Tools and Equipment/Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

If energy management control module was replaced, it must be coded with the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B).
