Remove deformation element - 1 - from central tube - 3 -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Make sure the knee airbag connector engages audibly with the coupling.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect the battery.

‹› If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) signals a malfunction after installation, DTC memory must be checked, erased and once again

checked using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051 A).

Tightening torque:s

‹› Deformation element to central tube: 4.5 Nm

‹› Glove compartment to the deformation element: 2.5 Nm
