Power steering gear, draining
Note: To drain the steering gear, the ambient temperature must be at least 20 ° C.
^
Turn the steering pinion in the direction of arrow to stop.
^
Horizontally clamp the steering gear in the vice.
^
Place drip tray under the steering gear.
^
Saw off the steering gear at the point indicated by -arrow A-.
^
Hold the detached steering gear over the drip tray and allow the hydraulic fluid to drain. If necessary, turn the steering pinion to the opposite stop.
