Remove banjo bolt -1-.
^
Remove banjo bolt -2- with a curved ring wrench, e.g. Hazet 615.
^
Pull return line as far as possible to right in direction of bulkhead.
^
Undo bolt -3- of steering gear.
Note: For ease of illustration the bolt -3- is shown from inside. It is right behind banjo bolts -1- and -2- near Servotronic solenoid valve -N119-.
^
Unscrew bolt -4- from steering gear.
Note: Bolt -4- can only be removed on removal of the steering gear.

Unscrew bolt -arrow-.
^
Move steering gear a little to the right so that the bolt -arrow- can be removed from the steering gear.
A second technician is required for the next steps:

Guide the steering gear as far to the left as possible and turn 90 ° counter-clockwise.
^
Now guide the steering gear again as far to the left as possible and turn a further 90 ° counterclockwise.
Note: Make sure that bulkhead collar is not damaged by steering gear pinion.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order. Note the following:

Insert steering gear from left, inserting the left front securing bolt in the steering gear.
^
Turn steering gear as far to the right as possible until the right securing bolt can be inserted in the steering gear.
^
Position steering gear on plenum chamber (a second mechanic is required).
Note: Make sure threads and bolt contact surfaces are free of oil and grease.

Thread in bolts but do not tighten yet.
