Transmission Mount: Removal and Replacement

Tunnel Crossmember

  Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine/Transmission Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

‹› Bolt M12x100 with nut 

Removing 

-

Remove the vacuum hose between the air filter and the throttle valve unit.

-

Lift the vehicle.

-

Remove the crossmember - A - under the exhaust system.

-

Separate front exhaust pipes with catalytic converter from rear exhaust system - arrows - and tie up to side.

-

Remove the lower shield - B -.

-

Remove the air duct - 1  - from the transmission.

-

Remove the noise insulation - 2 - from underneath the engine/transmission.

-

Remove the driveshaft heat shield - 3 -.
