‹› Both shear bolts that are screwed into the ECM do not require heating to be removed. They can be removed without heat.

Disconnect metal retainers from ECM connectors.

-

Remove both bolts from retainers for ECM (-J623-) (Master) and pull ECM forward.

-

Release and pull off connector from ECM (-J623-).

-

Remove old ECM (-J623-) and install new ECM.

Engine Control Module (ECM) (-J623-), installing

‹› Perform the installation in reverse order of removal. Thereafter, the engine control module must be equipped with the metal retainer. Always use

new shear bolts.

‹› After replacing the ECM, the injection quantity calibration in the new ECM must also be adapted (the injection quantity calibration affects engine

performance and emissions levels).
