Bring out the sound proofing - 2 - over the shift selector cable - 1 -.

Lower the vehicle.

Pry manual release Bowden cable - 1 - out of the bracket - 2 -.

-

Loosen the nuts - 3 - about one turn.

-

Remove the bolts - 4 -.

-

Carefully pull shift mechanism function unit up and out of shift unit.

-

At the same time, guide the manual release actuator mechanism - A - and the selector lever cable - B - out of the cover.

  ‹› If necessary, unclip the selector lever cable sleeve from the cover.

Loosen the selector lever cable locking screw - arrow - with a 25 mm Torx(R) socket.

-

Remove the securing plate - C - for the selector lever cable from the shift mechanism function unit.
