Carefully release retaining tabs - arrows - one after the other to remove cover from shift mechanism.

Pull cover slightly upward until cover guides - 1 - are outside of holes - 2 - on shift mechanism.

Lift rear of cover upward in direction of - arrow - and at the same time pull it over the center console crossmember - 3 -.

Shift selector lever in position "P".

Shift the lever/switch rod at the transmission in "P" position. Catch must engage in parking lock gear, both front wheels are locked (cannot be
turned together in one direction).
