Rear final drive

Gasket

‹› Replace

‹› Pull off backing foil, and stick self-adhesive side of gasket to flange shaft.

Drive Shaft

‹› Removing and installing => [ Driveshaft ] See: Driveshaft

‹› Remove grease from flange shaft

Balance disc

‹› Not installed on all vehicles

‹› Location: at rear final drive between one socket head bolt => [ (Item 5) Hex socket head bolt - 55 Nm ] and lock plate => [ (Item 6) Lock plate

].

‹› If installed, balance disc must not be re-installed when drive shaft has been disconnected from rear final drive.

‹› Replace

‹› Bolt threads in flange shafts must always be cleaned (e.g. with a thread tap)
