Flange Shaft Seals

‹› The oil seals can be only be replaced with the final drive removed.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Puller (T10037)

‹› Needle Bearing Drift (VW 295)

‹› Thrust piece (T40108)

‹› Sealing grease (G 052 128 A1)

Removing

Remove the rear final drive. Refer to => [ Rear Final Drive ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Final Drive 0AR/Removal

and Installation/Rear Final Drive.

Removing flange shaft (right side)

Place drip tray underneath.

Install the (T10037) on the housing - arrow - and remove the flange shaft.
