Remove retaining screw for tensioning strap.

- 

Pull and remove tensioning strap through loop.

- 

Pull convertible top cover away from inside of roof frame. Cover is glued in place.

- 

Pull off convertible top cover at sides underneath seals that were previously removed.

- 

Drill out rivet head -A- from linkage and remove tensioning strap -1-.

Note:  On later vehicles the tensioning strap is secured to the linkage further toward the rear (arrow -B-).

Pull convertible top cover off rear cross rail -1-.
