Determining Variable m

Place straightedge (A in illustration) on thrust plate.

-

Compress set of plates, including pressure plate, in direction shown (arrows in illustration).

Measure thickness of plate set using depth gauge (B in illustration).

Example:

Depth gauge reading - Straightedge thickness = Calculated dimension m
77.20 mm - 48.20 mm = 29.00 mm

Use calculated gap x to select shims according to table above.

Service replacement shims are available in a range of thicknesses from 1.00 to 1.90 mm.

CHECK MEASUREMENT

Install components up to one-way clutch, then secure with circlip.
